IONM Reference Network:
International Network of IONM experts

The IONM Reference Network  is an association of international experts with the common goal of improving Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) for the benefit of patient´s health.

Becoming a member of the IONM Reference Network means being part of an international group of experts and benefit of interdisciplinary exchange of IONM which offers a new level of expertise. Expanding previous research results and practical standards to a new level increases clinical standardization and gives centers the possibility to benefit from what is currently considered best practice.

In order to improve safety, progess and standardization of IONM, the Reference Network represents a platform on which surgeons from different fields of expertise, anesthesiologists, neurophysiologists and technical specialists work closely together.

The goals of our IONM network are:

  • Improvement of IONM for the benefit of patient´s health               
  • Combination of clinical and IONM data in a common database for broadband analysis and research
  • Definition and dissemination of standards considered best practice
  • Interdisciplinary expert exchange
  • Commonly face clinical issues and new approaches with regards to IONM
  • Development of technique and technology
  • Education and Training
  • Improvement of clinical efficiency of IONM

„The EUROCRINE project aims to decrease morbidity and mortality of rare endocrine tumours, by means of a pan-European database. Recording and accessing data at the European level, makes it possible to identify these tumours, which cannot be distinguished at local or national level, because of their extreme rarity. ​
